I purchased the medium-size belt, my waist is 32'' and the medium fits perfectly. Originally, I bought the belt to wear for hiking, however, I like the belt so well I wear it with jeans, shorts, etc., etc. The medal buckle and nylon belt itself are both very durable. The belt does NOT slip, which is impressive. The belt width fits through all the loops I have tried so far. I highly recommend this belt.
Belt is sturdy enough, but as a practical matter the webbing is too wide for regular jeans, especially if you try to put the web end that went through the buckle into the closest jean loop.
I have been very pleased with this belt. It is even better than I had expected it to be. I ordered a 36 waist and it is just about perfect in length-no need to trim it. the buckle lays flat enough. keep in mind that it is not your traditional buckle, so it does not lay perfectly flat. The webbing is stiff and that's the way I like it. also, there has been no slippage after tightening it.
