this jacket runs small - It is very nice for cool to colder weather but not for winter on it's own- I sat inside ( 75 degrees ) for 20 mins with coat on testing it's warmth and was cozy not hot , so I am sure when it dips to below freezing outside you would need a warmer version. Has a very thin feel to it. I had to return it as I need a really warm coat for trips to the Blue Ridge mountains .
