It's warm enough to meet -2C, I think there will be no problem with -5-15C also. The hood is good, the pockets are rather big and have strange position and depth. I ordered S and it's a little big even for me. Light, warm and nice quality. Primaloft rules.

I bought this for my husband who works outside in the cold Michigan wind. It is light enough that he wants to wear it all the time. With layers unerneath, it combats the cold very well. It washes up to look like new.
It broke my heart to return this jacket today. Below the neck I would give it five starts in every category. I love it. The problem was with the hood and collar. They have a very strange cut. Among other things, they provide almost no neck protection and very little protection to the sides of the face. This is the worst hood and collar that I have seen on a jacket of this type. No other L.L. Bean jacket that I saw at the store had such a poorly designed hood and collar. But for that, this jacket would be lerfect in every way!
Nice jacket, but the fit is too loose. I am 5'5, 145 lbs with 38'' chest and 30'' waist, and this jacket is too loose on mid-body down to the hip. Also, the hood is too big. It's made to fit over a ski helmet, and I bought this jacket to wear to work everyday. LLBean should make the hood removable. Other than that it's a well made jacket. But, I'll send it back due to the fit and hood isues.
