This jacket rocks! Super light, super comfy, blocks wind like no other, the only problem I have is w/the hood, it is way too large for my head, other than that, this is the perfect jacket for nasty cold weather!!

This jacket is everything I wanted - light weight, packable and very very warm. I expected nothing less.
The real surprise to me is how well it blocks the wind. I wore it with nothing but a t-shirt beneath in 20 degree weather with wind gusts of 30 + mph and was comfortable.
Also not sure if the complaints about the hood are from previous years jackets, but the hood on mine is just fine. It is a bit larger, but is adjustable and works great. There is no space or gap as described in one review to let wind in.
Very nice jacket/ very made and light. Perfect for early spring and fall. Fits much snugger than other LL Bean Jackets that I own. Definitely high quality product.

Since I hike in an area that receives a lot of rain (70 in per year) I wanted a coat with Primaloft insulation. I have used a similar LL Bean coat for over 15 years and this one seems better than the old one.
