I've had better jackets from LL Bean. Too short in length and when the wind blows it's not insulated enough to keep the cold out. A good jacket to run in and out of stores, but not to stay out in the cold in. I wouldn't buy it for my teenager who has to stand at the bus stop.
I bought this jacket for my 14 year old daughter and so far she loves it! It is thin, which she loves, and not bulky. She says it is very warm. We have not hit cold weather yet in Michigan so warmth has not really been tested yet. I am hopeful because I since she loves this jacket I know she will wear it, which is not always guaranteed with a teenager. The only thing I would have like to have seen are some additional color choices.
This jacket is beautiful! It is super lightweight and feels thin, but is incredibly warm! I tested it out at morning duty this week at my school in 26 degrees, and was very toasty! I bought it in black on my husband's recommendation and love how it is practical for a Maine winter coat, but also looks sophisticated. I would easily say it is my favorite coat I've ever owned!
