I looked high and low for a hooded, primaloft jacket. Hoped to find one with a quiet microfiber outside and this doesn't have that, but it does have everything else I was looking for! I sized up one size and it is a perfect fit. The big mesh pocket inside takes gloves easily. The best thing? It is SO LIGHTWEIGHT, for once I don't feel bogged down -- and in our super cold winter this January 2011 (Northern NJ) it has been plenty warm enough. Even stayed dry inside while I was out in the rain. Love it!
I just found out I'm allergic to down and feathers so all my coats and jackets had to be replaced. This jacket is amazingly comfortable and warm and weighs absolutely nothing, but it's very short. I am very short and I bought the regular, but it still doesn't cover everything. If it was a little longer, it would be perfect and if there was a comparable 3/4 length coat, I'd be ecstatic!

primaloft is my new best friend. i have been wearing my new jacket for a month now. it feels like wearing a cloud. really. light. warm. wonderful. i like the adjustable hood because i can leave my hair up and let the hood out no problem or cinch the hood up with handy dandy velcro adjustathingee on the back if i have my hair down. the cinching cords on the sides are pretty easy to deal with too. the front yoke is a bit high to me so i feel it looks funny zipped up all the way like there's not enough room there . . . so i zip it only half way. the jacket is plenty warm in the negative double digits celsius with a regular turtleneck underneath. something about the way the wrists won't stay down bugs me sometimes. gloves with longer cuffs should keep the cold from blowing up the sleeves. overall i really like this jacket. it blocks wind for sure and it is extremely light and warm.
