ProsGreat Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, cute, trendy but also mature
I live in northern VA and went to the Tyson's store. They had many colors to along with other styles to compare. I tried on every coat that fit my needs and i was between this, Snowball, and Ultrawarm (short). Although I haven't officially decided on which one I will keep (I haven't wind/cold tested them- aka, stand on deck), I am fairly certain this is the winner. It is chique, comfortable (in a size up) and oh so flattering (even in a larger than normal size). I am in love with it. The small details make it unique. My personal fave- the hood is lined with the softest fleece as is the collar by the mouth- it is so soft! 9.999/10 (didn't officially test cold).
I bought this jacket as a gift for my 16 yr. old granddaughter. I was very impressed with its appearance. I knew she wanted a jacket that was a trim fitting one and it looked like this would be something she would like. As I am giving it to her for Christmas I do not know if she will like it .
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
This jacket is great, but it should not be your only jacket. It keeps me warm under my Ascent Shell during periods of rain or snow. I wear it to the bus stop, hiking, sledding and skiing. As many other reviewers noted, it has a large hood. I love the hood size, because I can pull the hood over my ski helmet. Other dislike the length; this jacket will not cover fashionably longer sweaters, but the length is just right for activities that are not suited for longer garments, such as walking in dense woods.
This jacket could be great, but, it really has some sizing problems. Specifically, the arms are very short. If you have regular length arms, this jacket will be very short when arms are extended in front of you. Also the chest is a a bit tight. The hips and shoulders are great, but the chest is small. It's too bad because the jacket appears well made with nice features.
