I love the jacket. It is light to wear often but strong enough to keep you warm on most days. Great pockets too.
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is the sizing. I am 5'9" & 180, and the jacket it a little tight in the chest and shoulders. (Common problem for me.) But the sleeves are just right.
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I ordered two of this jacket, medium for my husband and XS Petite for me. Medium size was a perfect fit for my husband. He found it comfortable to wear and was pleased with it. XS Petite for me was an awkward fit-armhole and shoulders felt too large and the sleeves were long. It was such a pity. I love the jacket-intending to use it on a cold spring day, as well as in the fall. I wanted a replacement for my LLBean jacket purchased 15 years ago, Petite, XS. It seems LLBean sizes change. I have to return the item and keep shopping.
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, nice color
So, I spent a lot of time looking for a navy blue jacket or sweatshirt without a hood that zipped up for my husband - and this one really worked. Sent 3 back before finding this one from other places.
It's fitted, light and is a gorgeous blue color. The sleeves are a little long, but I think that's because it's an "outdoorsy" man coat -- meaning they are lifting and reaching and moving a lot and need some extra arm room. Makes sense, right?
My husband loves it and grabs it to walk the dog or if it's raining.
Husband specs: 6'1'', 165 lbs, got the medium. He's tall and thin.
Living in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, I own a couple of Bean coats for the cold, but I needed something for our chilly spring days and nights (about 30-55 degrees). I also wanted something that could handle some rain occasionally. This jacket fills the bill nicely, but what is the deal with those storm cuffs? I appreciate them in my Ruged Ridge Parka, but this jacket is not a storm coat by any means. They are too warm for this style jacket and flop down and out the sleeve ends when you slide your arms in. I don't want storm cuffs hanging out of my sleeves. I am going to tack them up inside the arm with some seam-binding tape, since they feel OK when they're tucked up inside and not clingiing to my wrists. Shoulders/upper arms are snug as others mentioned. Material does stretch but I won't be golfing in this. Nice, stylish, cozy, and well made though.
