Husband and teenage son really happy with this "in between weight" jacket. Sharp looking even though the black isn't a dark, true black, more like a dark grey.
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
This is exactly what I was looking for. Not too heavy, but it's comfortable, cuts the wind and sheds water. On top of all of that, it looks great! At least my black one does. And as other reviewers have mentioned, the L.L. Bean logo is in a dark gray color on the black jacket, so you can barely see it. I don't like bright advertisements/logos that make me look like I work for the Weather Channel. I have long arms and usually take a long in jackets, but the large regular length fit me fine in this jacket. My shirt size is 16.5 with a 36 sleeve.
This is a great jacket for cool/cold days/nights becuase it prevents the wind from penetrating and water wicks off. It is very lightweight and perfect for hiking when a jacket is needed. Rolls up nicely when not needed, but still moving on the trail.
Our company bought this coat for it's 25 year anniversary jacket. It comes in great colors and various sizes, including tall. Everyone likes the big pockets on the inside and the weight of the jacket is perfect.
