I bought this jacket for the "transitional" Ohio weather. It's a little lighter than I expected and not quite as warm. It is well made and seems to repel water well.
I recently received this jacket and I am pleased with the material, style and weight. It should serve well in early spring and late fall around here and that's what I was looking for. Unfortunately, I'm somewhere between a Medium and a Large. I tried both and labored which I should go with, finally settling on the Medium. The medium looks like a better fit, but if feels tight in the arms and a little across the shoulders...especially while driving. The large was just a little too long in the arms and appeared big. Maybe I should just loose some weight!
Just received my jacket today (ordered the "blue" in a "large tall"). Am tall and skinny with a 37 inch sleeve length. Jacket sleeves are plenty long (love the inside cuffs) and "trim" fit is perfect for my thin frame. While performance of jacket remains to be seen, I expect I'll get a lot of use out of this one. Planning on purchasing another in a different color soon.
Very nice jacket, lightweight and warm even in cold wind. The material is very nice. Fit is trim, and looks more dressy than fleece. The shoulders are slightly more squared off than fleece. In black, the LLBean logo is dark grey, so hardly visible. I use it to go to work, not for outdoor sports.
