Two things are notable about this product 1) for its light weight it is unusually warm in chilly temperatures and 2) after buying more than one, the colors are sharp and beautiful rather than the dull, faded look you often get with many other new products. One caution - it's not a very long jacket but many other types purposely aren't as well.

I bought this for my 18 year old son last year. He loved it so much we bought another color. He lives in them from fall through spring using an additional fleece or down vest when temps really drop. The best surprise is that they're basically waterproof. He's worn them in heavy rainfalls & stayed dry under the jacket as they also breathe very well. Still looks like new after over a year of wear & machine washing. Worth every penny!

I got this soft shell in october of this year for my ski trip to Hintertux, Austria. This Jacket is one of the warmest jackets I have had and is very durable. I wore this jacket the first day there skiing in -10 degree (fahrenheit) weather with a under armour shirt and a tee shirt and I was just fine. Pros. Very durable and warm. fits nice, looks great, and the zippers are easy to catch Cons. LLBean could have made it a little more wind proof.

I wore this jacket today for the 1st time with the outside temp. at 19 degrees. With a sweatshirt as the only underlay I felt warm so I can only imagine the warmth during our Spring and Fall time. The jacket stretches in all directions allowing for great mobility and the jacket actually gives a slimming affect for those with a larger body. I also poured a glass of water onto areas of the jacket and the water ran right off, did not soak in at all. Great jacket, greater cost! 100% Satisfied.
