This jacket is perfect when you want something light and weather resistant. I bought it for a backpacking trip in Yosemite in October and it worked great, keeping me warm in 35 degree weather and without making me all sweaty on the inside. This jacket has custom features you won't find in other jackets like fleece wrist "huggers" inside the sleeves to keep the cold out. With an outer shell it can't be beat!
This item was to be worn during a hiking trip to Dartmoor in England. After one day I had to buy a replacement.The jacket was not breathable even for low impact walking.It was not light to wear and is bulky to store in a backback..A minor point--the bean logo is glaring, unlike the more discreet and tasteful format we have come to expect from llbean.
