I read the reviews first. I ordered the jacket.Just as everyone said; Warm, lightweight great looking. Has 2 side zip pockets and a chest pocket. Additionally, there are two inside pockets that are very large. Just ordered another color. The sleeves are slightly on the long side- perfect for me, I have long arms!
needed a new jacket for walking the dog. The zipper finally gave out on my 20 year old squall jacket. This is light weight jacket but nonetheless quite warm.

I LOVE this jacket! I've tried soft shells on from nearly every major competitor and this is by far the best fitting, at half the price of other brands. The sleeves are nice and long (I wear a Med Tall), the cut and length are perfect. Construction is solid but soft.
HOWEVER...the hand pockets are mesh and allow air to come up from the bottom of the jacket making the pockets useless for keeping hands warm. What's the point of pockets when you have to wear gloves inside them to keep your hands warm? The picture below is an inside view of the jacket - you can clearly see my hand through the pocket. If you can see my hand, so can cold air ;-)
This jacket is comfortable and warm it is fairly lightweight and durable. I am extremely happy with it, it is a great addition to the rest of my LLBean wardrobe.
