I purchased this jacket a month ago and I tried it on today. It wasn't warm enough to my expectation so I have to return it and get a different jacket with fleece lined that was recommended. I hope this will work. First time to return product.
I'm still deciding whether to return this jacket. First, the good stuff: it is flattering, very high quality craftsmanship, has well-styled pockets, and I like that it's wind-resistant. But I find that it's too tight around the armpits and elbows, which is hard to ignore. Perhaps it's too small, but the sleeves and torso are the perfect length so it seems like the next size up would be wrong in those respects. From the reviews it doesn't sound like others considered this jacket ill-proportioned (and I'm a pretty average person!), so I'm not sure what to think.

I bought this jacket in an XL so it would fit well over a sweatshirt or thermal shirt. It fits perfectly! I normally wear a L in jackets and sweaters. Love the zippered pockets. Now that the weather has turned cooler, it is perfect to wear on my daily 3 mile walk with my iPod in its own pocket. Wore this in San Francisco last week and it was just what I needed.

My work can take me to some moderate, cold, freezing, and/or just plain wet marine climates, and the Patherfinder is my GOTO jacket. I love it! I may ship out my arctic gear, my monsoon proof foul water jacket and my ski pants in my seabag, but I always wear or carry my Pathfinder Jacket! It can do it all. I layer it for cold weather, and leave it open for warmer climes, it blocks water and harsh winds, protects the neck, wrists and has functional right-sized pockets. Great design!
