The first time I wore this jacket, it was 45 degrees, sunny, no wind, and I loved it. Second time out, it was 40 degrees, raw NE 10 mph wind, spitting "snizzle," and, over a light layer as suggested (a long-sleeved cotton turtleneck), I was cold, especially my arms and across my shoulders. Returned home and added a lightweight fitness fleece over the turtleneck and under the jacket. I was still cold. I am returning the jacket.
I bought this jacket to run, snow shoe, and cross country ski in. I have owned soft shells in the past and am quite a fan of them, but this coat is AMAZING! The bright berry color is gorgeous and the fit is PERFECT! It hangs close to the body but is not tight at all; you can definitely get a fitness shirt and fleece under it with no problem. I absolutely love the soft fleece cuffs on the inside of the jacket and along the bottom of the coat. These inside cuffs will prevent any snow or wind from getting into or up the sleeves. This coat is very stylish and could also be worn not only for fitness but also around town. Thanks Bean!
Great jacket with a nice fit. I didn't like the color though - not much of a selection for color on this one. The green is kind of odd and the other colors kind of bland. Very good quality though
