Love this jacket! My new favorite!! I was surprised that I could fit in a medium. I'm 5'2, 160 and usually wear a large. The large felt too baggy. Exchanged it for the medium and was pleasantly surprised with the fit. I won't be able to wear a sweater under it, but it has a very feminine fit, which I love. I bought this jacket because I bought the men's jacket for my dad and he loved it. Lots of pockets with ZIPPERS! My only wish would be for a hood like my dad's. We live in Vermont, I wore it out in the 20 degree weather and it was a bit chilly. I am thinking this jacket is going to be a perfect "shopping" jacket. You ladies know what I mean. When you go shopping on those cold days but you don't want to wear that bulky winter jacket. It will be that jacket you can still wear in the mall and not be too hot. Looking forward to years with this great find!
I bought the Seaport Blue color pathfinder to use outside for general purpose for NC east coast fall and winter. I like the full zip - no trouble with it. Love the way the inside sleeve seals up around my wrists. The inside is warm and it really does block the wind using that outside layer. I have machine washed it and hung it to dry to keep the color vibrant. I bought a large (I'm 5'5" and 145 #) and probably could have gotten a medium; it's a little loose but I'd rather be that than too tight. I bought this color since it was discounted. I love the color on me (I'm a summer- light brown hair and blue eyes) but it does show any spot. They wash out fine but it has to wait until I can get to the washer!
I bought this jacket last year and used it as is during the fall. As the weather chilled I added another layer in the form of the fitness fleece jacket. I wore this all winter, it was the perfect combination to keep me warm until the temperatures dropped to the upper 10's, low 20's at which point I would wear a heavier coat. The styling is perfect, I bought the petite Small and the sleeves fit just right, the jacket falls at my hip bones. I wear this almost exclusively for 3-4 months. Even with the layering I have room to move. I love this jacket.
I wish that I loved this coat. I still like it, but I don't love it. Here's why... I got this one as a replacement because the zipper was broken on my other coat which wasn't even a year old at the time. I was disappointed about the broken zipper, but I LOVED that coat and wore it daily, so I simply ordered a replacement. I ordered the exact same color and size, so I was surprised when I put it on for the first time that it was super snug (like an entire size smaller snug) and the sleeve lengths were way shorter than the other one I had purchased less than a year before. I mean, we're talking the sleeves felt like they are like 2-3" shorter... and I have very short arms. So when I put my arms straight out, the sleeves are just shy of mid-forearm. I can't imagine what it would be like for someone with normal sized arms...
I cannot wear this coat with layers like I had done before. If I wanted to do that, I would need to get a size bigger, which is ridiculous. I'm not sure why the sizing changed, but it's very frustrating.
All in all, I really like this jacket. It's perfect for those chilly, but not rainy, days here in the PNW. I just wish the sizing wasn't so different than it was before.
