ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
If this jacket hit at the low hip it would be 5 stars. The fabric, details, and construction are really nice, especially for the price. The grey is a little darker than the photo, but I still like it a lot. Very warm but without any bulk. Warmth of down has to do with the fill-power not with the bulk. So its really nice to have a down jacket that does not make one feel like the michelin (wo)man.
My friend had gotten one in purple and I loved it but the medium was a tad tight in the shoulders and the arms were too short. I'm lean and tall. I got the large and I was swimming in it...so back it goes. The peacock green was amazing color-wise and I would've loved the coat but the large was more like an extra large and I was flopping around in it. So, back it went and I ordered a different one...hope that one is better with the size.
I really wanted to keep this jacket- the silver color is beautiful, the fleece lined hood is so soft, and it is lightweight. However, the fit is just too boxy for me. It does have a drawstring at the waist, but it was cut too wide through the shoulders and chest. I would have preferred a more fitted style. Also when I zipped it up all the way the hood was pushed into the back of my head and looked very strange. I returned the jacket and am still looking for the perfect winter coat.
