ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
This is an overall amazing jacket. It is lightweight but packs in the warmth (but not so much that you are sweating!) I tried on both the XS & S, and I went with the XS for a more fitted look. I am 5'6" and 130 lbs. The S was roomier and a bit more boxy in the body than the XS. With the XS, I can still fit a thin sweater or a fleece underneath. Overall, I really love this jacket, and the gray goes with everything!

While this coat is attractive and comes in pretty colors, it is disappointingly short on down. It is very thin and has only a small amount of down. THe write up says that the 650 fill down keeps it's loft to trap warmth, but there is so little down, there isn't hardly any loft. It would be a good coat to wear in the car or to run errands around town if it does not get below 30 and you are only outside for short periods of time. It's more of a fashion down coat, not a performance down coat. There is no way it would be sufficient for extended activities outdoors(such as a walk) in temperatures below 20, must less -30 as the LL bean rating states. I have an older LL Bean down coat, filled with the correct amount of down to give superior insultation in really cold weather when I'm outside for long periods. This coat is nothing like that. The hood is the only part that is desgined to offer the warmth and performance as described. If you want to wear the hood down and zip the zipper all the way up to your chin, the hood falls in a somewhat bad position up close behind the back of your neck and head. It is comfortable to wear otherwise and the sizing seems correct. it appears to be made well.
The Peacock Green is beautiful! The jacket feels like it would be toasty warm and I love the fleece lining in the hood. Sadly, I just could not get the size right. The small looked very boxy on me so I returned it and got the extra small. The extra small was too small through the chest and shoulders. I am returning the extra small as well and will try a different jacket.
The jacket has a nice fit and style. The color is beautiful but the fabric is just a little too shiny! It's a nice weight and I hope so I hope it's toasty warm when winter hits.
