The fabric of this coat is very soft and has a slight shine to it. Good for dress, but not a good 'field' jacket. The fit is ok except that the top (shoulder to shoulder, across the chest) is very large. Arm length and body length are good, but kind of a 'barrel' chested fit. Can't decide if I should keep it or not. It's pretty but the fit isn't great.
I have this in the blue and it is very pretty. The sizing is spot on. It is cut a little longer in the back to provide extra coverage and warmth. The jacket is very light weight, but warm. The hood is a good size.
I love everything about this jacket--color, fit, and fabric. It is warm and light and the embroidery on the left sleeve (a subtle flower design) and the decorative inside placket add a little extra style. My 26 year old daughter liked mine so much that we ordered her one in a different color and she loves hers too!
