For anyone living in a cold climate with snow and blowing snow, this is the jacket for you. The hood is the best part, as it is beautifully lined and allows you to stay warm with it and a scarf. I receive many compliments on the blue color, too.
PROS: I bought the teal green one. It has very nice detail work, such as the embroidered flowers, and the inside of the zipper flap. It fits fine and is slimming.
CONS: The zipper is too flimsy and constantly gets stuck - to the point that you can't get it undone, I even waxed the teeth, and the fabric still got caught in the zipper track. The pockets are much too small. You could put your house keys and kleenex in them. Forget gloves. The big inside right open pocket is the only place they could go, but they fall out because there is no elastic on the top part to hold anything in. Anyway, who wants to unzip the the coat while it is freezing to reach inside the bottom of the coat to put the gloves in and out with an inoperable zipper? This sounds like a Laurel and Hardy routine! .
What a great coat! So warm for Alaskan winters. It is currently hovering around 0 and i am warm in this coat. We will see how well it keeps me warm when I am outside for multiple hours at a time. The fit is very nice. It is great to look womanly and cute even in the middle of the winter. I love the color (silver) and the adjustable hood. Great for keeping the cold air out. I ordered a medium, and there is plenty of room for layers underneath. It is not fun to have a tight coat on and not be able to move your arms when outside skiing. This jacket is very roomy. I like that I can also adjust the elastic at the bottom to keep snow and cold air out. I would buy this product again and recommend it to a friend. GREAT price!
First time I wore my new coat, I admired the large mesh-type interior pocket, perfect for holding lots of plastic bags for dog walking! Also it has a pocket just for an Ipod with a special opening for headphones.
It is so cozy, like wearing my favorite sleeping bag, but it looks great!
