My son loves his new jacket. He just switched to this one as it's starting to get cold. Very light weight. He says it's very comfy and very warm. Also, looks really good on him.
I bought the plaid pattern of this coat for my 7 year old son in October 2012. We both love the colors, look, and feel (it is warm)! With the warmer fall, he didn't start wearing it until about 2 weeks ago. I am so disappointed to find feathers are coming out from all over the coat! Some are coming from the seams, but many are popping out from all over the squares. I am constantly picking feathers off of this coat! The fabric or outer shell seems too thin to hold them in. I am also disappointed to see that there are already 3 small holes wearing in the outer shell. My son is a typical boy, running around on the playground (w/newer equipment), playing outside sports, riding bikes, but he's not overly rough. We've never had this challenge with his LLBean parkas. I am overall disappointed with the quality and durability of the coat, and very frustrated that we are going to have to invest in a 2nd coat this winter! RRRRRRR!
Bought this for my 8 year old son in October. By November 15 the teeth on the zipper started to disintegrate. He really liked the print and it was warm and toasty - but we won't be getting a replacement because i need to be able to rely on the quality to last a couple of years. disappointed at an otherwise nice coat.
I bought two of these for each of my sons and the zipper broke on both within 2 weeks!!! Replacing the zipper costs as much as the price for the jacket, hence, i am very disappointed with llbean products and will not be purchasing them any longer.
