I bought this jacket in the bright navy/green combination (size 5-6) for my now 4 1/2 year old (48lb) son. He wore it last year when he was 3 1/2 and it was a tad big--the sleeves especially(so we rolled them up a bit). After last season and a few washings, he is wearing it again this year. It looks nice and is in great condition. I like that it is so warm, yet he can move in it because it's not puffy. It was worth spending the money because of the quality and the fact that he can wear it another year.
I bought two of these jackets for my boys who do not like the bulk of other jackets. They love them, I love them! They are super light and still super warm. My boys often roll them up and stuff them in their backpacks for coming home from school and they fit easily. The jacket looks like new even when my boys have crumpled it.

This is a great coat for cold school days. It is ligtweight and exceptionally warm, like having a sleeping bag wrapped around your child. The outer fabric is not tough; its not a coat you'd send him out to play in the snow in, but for cold winter mornings waiting outside for the bus it is great. It has also held up to use at the playground. It can be stuffed into a backpack easily when it warms up.
