I've decided that I need to stick to products that my kids can't wear out in one season. My 8-year od loves this jacket so far - it's lightweight and warm (and he thinks the hidden inner pocket is so cool.) I am hoping the LL Bean quality lasts through two seasons of his abuse and then two more from his younger brother. I plan to buy more LL Bean in th future!

I have two boys who love this jacket! My boys hate to wear anything bulky and this jacket is perfect. It is lightweight but warm enough for a snowy day. I ordered it a size larger per other reviews and my boys get two years out of this jacket. This is our third time ordering this jacket. It is easy on off because of the nylon lining in the sleeves, and the fleece inside keeps them plenty warm. The zipper is easy to use even for my youngest. The velcro sleeves, are great to tighten for snow playing days. I can't tell you how much we love this jacket. My only complaint is I wish it came in more color choices! Having two active boys, I wash this jacket regularly and it never loses its color or wears out. I have passed the previous ones down and people are amazed at how new they still look!

This is a great jacket! My son wanted something he could move around easily in but still look "put together". This does both. It's light weight and warm... perfect combo for active boys! We've ordered all our boys coats/ jackets for llbean for many years and have been extremly happy with both the products and CUSTOMER SERVICE; which in most other places is a thing of the past.

I ordered this jacket(s) for my 11 and 13 year old sons. It is the perfect coat for school commutes and playground time. It is not bulky or heavy, so the boys do not overheat in the car. I didn't listen to the other reviewers who said to order up a size, and I had to return the coats for the larger size. LL Bean's return process is so slick that this wasn't a hassle, and both coat orders came quickly.
