"For the price, this sweater is a very good buy. The material is substantial. I like the contrasting inner neck color. I ordered the sweater in black spruce heather for my husband. It is a nice color, though not really a heather. That is the only thing that seems a bit off."

"The collar on the sweater is high and when you go to fold it down it has a black backing and the sweater is brown. Would prefer more of a mock neck with a matching back."

"I absolutely love this sweater. It has a very simple design, yet sohpisticated look at the same time making it perfect for casual or business casual. The collar is perfectly tailored...not too loose or snug and stands up without flopping over like on other 1/4-zip sweaters, yet is soft on the skin. I bought 3 of these, all different colors."

"So far so good, the color I chose is a very rich blue. My adult daughter said I looked good in it...this is a big guide post for truth. I like the quarter zip look when you wear a colared shirt under the sweater.

I am worried that the cotton construction will tend to pull itself and become too long. Gravity and heavy cotton sweaters can do that. The verdict is out. So far so good."

"This sweater disappeared for a couple of years and I am really glad that LL Bean brought it back! It fits great and wears really well. I would have given it 5 starts except for the fact that the inside of the collar isn't the same color as the rest of the sweater.

Also, please make all of the colors available in the tall size.

"The thing about the Bean is they just keep improving. This sweater is much better than the previous cotton sweaters...really well made and stands up to a lot, and man, do I look good in it. I'm 6'4" 210, size 36-37 arms and fit perfect in an XL tall, with just a bit of room so it doesn't look like a tight sweater, which I can't stand. Highly recommended."

"I love this sweater. It is warm and comfy and looks great! I am outside lots and this sweater is great when it is a bit chilly. It also stands up to lots of rough-housing as well! Whether I'm wrestling with my nephews or running the dogs this sweater stands up to the beating and still looks great! I am buying more in the other colors!"
