These boots are great !!! I bought them in the cherry color, which was on sale, and I love the beautiful dark pink plum shade. I got them to use as slippers, since my feet and ankles get cold really easily. They are really toasty even without socks, and equally good as slippers or to wear outside when it's not raining or snowing (I have other LLBean boots for that). The fit is perfect, and I highly recommend these boots.
I purchased these boots about 5 years ago, and while they are sturdy, warm and comfortable, the black dye comes off on my socks. I was only able to wear them a few times because of this problem (they look new). I just purchased another pair in Brown and LL Bean has agreed to take back the original black pair (bless them!) Don't hesitate to buy them in a color other than black...they're much better than UGGS!
The boot has a built-in arch support. The description did not indicate this feature and I’ve never had any footwear that came with an arch support. I have flat feet (no arch to support) so the boots are uncomfortable and would become painful after a while.
