These boots arrived last week and I've worn them many times. They keep my feet very warm without being hot. They are very comfortable. Highly recommend these boots!
My feet have never been so cozy. Depending on the brand of shoe, I can wear anything from an 8 to a 9. I am a size 8 in other Bean boots and they are perfect, so I got a size 8 for these. Initially they were just the slightest bit tight, but keeping in mind that there is quite a bit of shearling lining throughout the entire boot, I new that they would conform to my foot. And did they ever! After wearing them for just an hour or two, they fit perfectly. There is no issue slipping them on or off. The shearling is thick, plush, soft, and luxurious. I don't want to take these boots off!
I have not yet worn them in the snow or rain, so I cannot comment on their "waterproof-ness" or how well they clean up after being exposed to salt, etc. (Honestly, the suede is so soft and lovely, I'm hesitant to bring them outside when they can be exposed to those conditions!)
I previously had a pair of Bearpaws, which cost about the same as these. Although I loved my BPs when I got them, these Wicked Good boots are far superior. The BP soles were only glued on, so after only a few months there started to be gaps between the sole and the upper, which gradually got very large so that they were unwearable. With the Wicked Good boots, the sole is stitched to the upper so there should be no issue of this happening. Plus, the Bean suede is a much higher quality, and these boots are backed by Bean's unbeatable guarantee. The only thing BP has in its favor is that they offer a much wider range of colors. I wish Bean offered black, but the grey is very nice.

I bought these boots for a recent trip to Yellowstone and Jackson Hole,Wyoming. They were exactly what I needed. They kept my feet warm and were extremely comfortable. After reading the reviews I was nervous about the size I ordered. I followed LLBean's guidelines. I wear a half size (8 1/2) so ordered up to a nine. They were perfect. With the mid weight wool hiking socks there was room for the heat to circulate in the boots. There would have been room with the heaviest weight sock, but they were sold out. The boots were easy to get on and off. They did not need to be waterproofed. After a week of walking in the snow, they look brand new! I highly recommend these boots for outside activities.
I purchased this boot as an after Christmas gift to me. I had looked at similar styles that were more expensive. After reading reviews and comparing prices I decided to go with the LL Bean model. I absolutely love these boots. I never thought I would go without socks but after trying them with and without I went without. My feet have been toasty warm all day without sweating. I am a size 10 and have a little higher instep. The 10 is a perfect fit. The quality is exceptional. I look forward to spending the remaining winter in the comfort of these boots.
