This boot delivers all it has promised in the way of comfort and warmth. I prefer to wear it without socks as I love the feel of the soft wool against my skin. It is very warm without socks and the one time I tried wearing them on a shopping trip I wound up taking off the socks and putting them in my purse. Socks are for shoes with leather lining....when I put socks with this shoe it just feels wrong. I love this gray boot and now have ordered the tall one in brown, both in a 10, which is a very loose fit, but that is the way I like it. I don't like "stretching" or "forming" my shoes to fit. This boot feels like each foot has a little "house of its own".....pampered, you might say.
I have these boots in all three colors; graphite ones are most recent and they are much better made and warmer than that other name brand. There is a big difference in warmth when waiting on the train platform or sitting in a train car where the heat is not working. They are much better in rain and snow also. I just love them! Please start to offer the "Mini" style which is very popular for everyday wear. I know that I would buy several pairs and I am sure other customers would also for the Bean quality.
