I was debating about purchasing a pair of UGG boots for a very, very long time until I saw the shearling boots in L.L. Bean. I was happy about the pricing for the mid-heights because these are cheaper than what the UGG classic mini and short boots would cost; what-a-freaking-steal!!!!! :) I'm a size 9 in shoes, but after reading some of the reviews I took a chance and ordered down to a size 8. I was very nervous up until the moment I opened the box and tried them on and once I did I gave a happy sigh of relief. I wasn't sure if they would be "true to size" on my feet or fit bigger, but obviously a size 9 would've been too roomy even with the thickest pairs of socks. Inside the packaging L.L.Bean left a card informing that the boots will initially fit snug but would eventually provide a comfort fit within a short time frame...which they did. I had an accident with my boots and called L.L. Bean customer service which is the best and they immediately sent me a pair of replacements that arrived the following week. I appreciate L.L. Bean's dedication to their customers and having top notch quality products that is covered for a lifetime. I will be purchasing a tall pair and the Graphite pair of these boots as well.
Side note to L.L. Bean: How about making the boots (mid-height and tall) in a rich dark brown color? Think about it.
I love these boots. I bought them 2 years ago when working in a cold building all winter in Minot, ND. I wore them 7 days/week for 12 hours/day. They are the most comfortable with great arch support and toasty warm. I wear them every winter and they are still in great condition even with the snow and salt. Love em!!
I order the gray shearling boots and they look fantasic! I'm between size 7 or 71/2 depending on the shoes, and I ordered the 7 and they were perfect. But, the outside of my ankles started rubbing and got a sore on each side. I chatted with a customer service, and I decided to try a different pair, same size. When I got the second pair they didn't rub! So I'm happy!! Great Customer Service too... Very warm, very comfortable, very similar to the brand boots, but better price!
These boots are very, very comfy. I'm usually a 9 1/2 so when boots only come in whole sizes, the 9's are snug and the 10's are loose. Not the case with these. The 9's fit great. So if you are in between, order down. I got the graphite and love the color. I might order these in the brown too:)
