This boot is incredibly warm, and most important, comfortable. i am never cold in these boots and right now the temps are hovering below zero. I am frequently outside walking my dog and these boots are a blessing. The fit is perfect and i often have problems finding boots and shoes with a toe box that is wide enough. They are also easy to put on and take off. Great product!
I like these boots. The size 9 I originally bought were too snug, as my big toe hit the front of the boot, which was also a little narrow. I returned them and ordered a size up, but then they were way too big and my foot slipped and slid around in them, even with an added inner sole and an orthotic. That is why I say it is hit or miss. I think if this boot had an arch support, it would be well worth the money and it should come in half sizes too. I was bummed that I had to send the second pair back, but they were more uncomfortable than the first pair. I would have kept the first pair, but I could not get the orthotic in there comfortably. Oh well. They sure are warm.
I have bought these boots in years past and they held up pretty good. I bought a new pair this year and have had to return/ exchange 2 pairs after only a weeks worth of wear...the soles both pealed off in the heal after only wearing them for ONE week! I hope LL Bean reviews these boots and quality tests then a little better not impressed with the quality I expect far better from LL Bean :( I am on pair # 3 and I hope they stay in tact longer then a week!
