Positive points: nice, dark brown coffee color, warm fleece inside, sole doesn't pick up stones, size seems about right. Negative: no arch support, flat wedge, sole is too light for a winter boot. Brand label is sewn to outside of boot on back of ankle...tacky!! I refuse to be a walking advertisement for any company so I removed the labels with a seam ripper. That was easy but the glue underneath the label was more difficult to remove. Rubbing, scraping, picking removed the glue but now there is a rectangular spot on each boot where the labels were. These boots will be ok for running errands & lounging but they don't feel like expensive boots. Not worth more than $60 in my opinion.
I have looked at these boots for a while before taking the plunge and ordering them. I have always thought that "the" brand name boots on the market were overpriced and sloppy looking. When I received these midheight shearling boots, I was pleasantly surprised. First, for sizing, I am a true 8.5 in most shoes, and the size 8 fit perfectly, as if it was made for my foot. The look is leaner than I expected, and not sloppy at all. The shearling is soft and absolutely dense, with a foot cradling warmth. The black coffee color is a super-rich yet neutral brown. I have worn these boots for hours at a time doing errands on cold winter days, and they remain comfortable. The shearling has not compressed much yet, which is a great sign for their long term durability. I did treat them with a waterproofing suede spray, and that has enhanced their wearability. I love these boots and would but another pair if a funkier color, like a deep violet or cranberry were offered (hint, hint).
I currrently own a pair of these. I have had them for several years and wear them all through winter. I would recommend as they are warm and comfortable. I am purchasing another pair.
