I got my boots in the mail today and immediately tried them on. I wasn't sure what size to buy since I wear a 9 wide and they didn't come in wide widths. Most of the reviews I read said to order down, not up, in size. The boots fit well and are the most comfortable thing I have ever put on my feet.
ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected
I never thought much of the look, but I had purchased a pair of sheepskin lined leather boots from LL Bean back in 1991 and still love them and wear them every winter for snow shoveling. Now, with a bunion making every new shoe or boot I tried on feel uncomfortable, I decided to try these. I wear a 6.5 or 7 usually but purchased a size 6. They felt tight and I almost sent them back. But after a few days, they felt great. I wear them barefoot and almost never take them off! They are perfect for the bunion, cradling my foot and not too narrow or tight. My feet used to always feel cold and now I wear these even in my office at work, and no one will convince me to trade them in for more stylish boots. The only things I would change is that I'd love to be able at some point to put in a replaceable insole, but these are not removable, and the tread on the bottom is not as slip proof on ice as I'd wish. But I will buy more in other colors next year (can we please have black?). My feet are very happy.
Overall I am very happy with these boots. They are warm and comfortable, and I have unusually narrow and high arched feet. My only complaint is that the rubber sole on one boot is peeling off after only one week of continuous use. I won't return the boots because I love wearing them, but they aren't as good quality as I expected.
