I live in Florida, so we don't naturally need boots here. I got these to travel in when I visit cold weather climates. I have taken them all over the world and love them. So comfortable and they keep my feet toasty and happy. I would never pay for Uggs that will fall apart after one year of wear. These are truly well-made and worth every penny.
I hesitated to buy these boots because my wide feet and high instep often make step-in boots impossible, but finally ordered them after reading so many favorable reviews. I received them less than 48 hours after ordering them online. Not only are they super easy to put on and off, but the color (grey) is beautiful and they are incredibly comfortable! I only wish I had ordered them earlier!
I purchased a pair of boots at the store in Freeport, Maine. While I appreciated the free shipping to my home in Virginia, I found when the boots arrived that one of them had very noticeable black marks on the front of the boot. These were not on the boot when I bought them, and I'm having a hard time getting the marks off. It seems they are grease of some sort - not easily removed. The boots are nice, but I would not have bought them if they'd had the black marks on them at the store. I looked them over carefully before purchasing so I know they were clean at that time. Next time I would watch the boots being put into plastic bags so I'd know they wouldn't get damaged before shipment.
These boots are warm and cozy. My biggest problem is that I can barely get my pants over them and it is also hard to tuck the pants in. I like the fact that you can always trust LLBean for the quality and I would never pay over $200 for the original Uggs. These are great.
