I love these boots. They are easy to put on, comfortable, warm and waterproof. I tested them big time when to avoid the icy sidewalk, I plunged right into a snow bank to walk through the snow to my neighbor's house. My feet stayed warm and dry. I love these boots. Thank you LLBean!
I've had these for 5 winters and have been very disappointed. You would think a winter boot would be waterproof, or at least water resistant. They are super warm--keep my feet warm even in below-zero weather--but they are only good for one trip outside per day. I come inside, take them off, the snow on them melts, and then they are soaking wet on the inside for the rest of the day. I tried putting them in the dryer and they shrank a little. And forget about stepping in a slush puddle. Instant icy-cold foot bath.
What gives, L.L. Bean? Does Maine snow never melt?
