I have had many pairs of a very popular brand of shearling boots. This time I decided to try the Bean version, because those others wore out so quickly, especially on the inside. I am very pleased with the Bean boots. They are warmer than the other brand and I can tell already the inside shearling will not wear out nearly as quickly. Also, the fit is better...not as wide and big.
I bought these boots because I have very cold feet and ankles all fall and winter, even inside. I wear them as slippers around the house, then out to work and around town. They are much more comfortable and supportive than other boots of this style I've tried, and I've received several compliments on them from women who think they look better than other brands. The Black Coffee color is deep and rich, and there has been no transfer of dye from the inside of the boots to my socks or feet. My ankles and feet have been so toasty...these are so nice I've bought a second pair.
I've had a hard time finding a pair of shearling boots that fit me properly. I usually wear a 7 1/2, ordered down to a 7 and it's a perfect fit. They fit snug around the stitching with room in the toe and heel.
