These slippers were exactly what I was looking for. Like other reviewers have said, they are a little snug at first, but it took no time to break them in. These are my first pair of open back slippers, and I couldn't be happier. They keep my feet warm, but do not make them sweat like I've experienced with full coverage slippers in the past. The sole is heavy duty enough to wear outside without worrying about ruining them; but the footbed is extra soft and extremely comfortable. I hope LL Bean keeps carrying these because they're the only ones I'll buy from here on out.
Bought these for my husband for an easy slip on and because they were listed as being warm. They are a good fit and very nice and warm. Quality made, a good value. I had bought slippers that were more expensive, and he likes these the best.
Despite the cost--more than $60 Canadian, even with a 10% discount--these are worth the extra. My previous pair lasted around 5 years, with almost daily wear. Much better deal than cheaper big-box versions that fall apart after a year or less.
Slip ins should not have a ridge in the back of the shoe/slipper. You should be able to wear them without the darn thing folding over and being uncomfortable under the heel. I have returned these...
