I love the fit, appearance and texture of the popcorn stitch sweater. I ordered it in chocolate brown, with the matching top. The neck of the sweater was itchy on my skin and I found the yarn covered buttons difficult to slide in and out of the button holes. I kept the top and returned the sweater. It is rare to be disappointed in something ordered from LLBean.
I fell in love with the vintage feel of this cardigan with the cute popcorn stitch that you don't see very often. I even got a compliment the first time I wore it! As much as I love the look, it does have some drawbacks. It's warm but a little itchy- which wouldn't be an issue if I could wear a long sleeve shirt underneath, but the fit is a little on the small side. Also, I like the look of the covered buttons but it does make it difficult to button.
