Well, it finally happened to me...I did not fully read all of the materials that this sweater was made of and found that the rabbit hair is not for me. I am allergic to both wool and rabbit hair. The sweater is beautiful and the fit was wonderful. I just felt bad that I had to return it. If this style was made in 100% cotton I would buy one in every color.
Stitch is a nice change. Seems to keeps warmth in when cool, and allows for breathing when warm... From that standpoint, nice fall sweater. But because 1) the sleeves look too short when cuffed even in the next size up 2) the covered buttons, though cute, don't stay closed and 3) it pills more easily than I would like, I'll be returning it. If you decide to order it, I'd recommend a size up, especially if you are going to layer.
My sweater arrived quickly, looks great on me and is of excellent quality.
I had a color analysis done about twenty years ago. The analysis included suggestions for fabric choices, metals and texture. What works best for me are textured fabric garments and it has been difficult to find cardigans other than a plain weave or a cable. I have tons of cable knits. This sweater is a nice addition to my wardrobe.
My next quest is for a chocolate brown cardigan in a moss stitch. I had one in the 1960's and have been looking for a new one for years.
A charming sweater with retro appeal. Very warm, yet not bulky, the colors are rich - the sleeves are long enough and the sweater hits at the waist giving you a lot of layering options. Pair with the shirred pima tee in a matching color for a great look that can be dressed up or down. I will buy a couple to give as gifts!
