I bought three of these, in navy, brown and elderberry, specifically because I love the shorter length. It's very flattering. My only complaint is where's the black?
The sweater is adorable- the buttons look like pop-corn since they are stitched in the same material as the sweater- the open weave is wonderful. However, as to fit I noticed a few things, if you are even close to being between sizes I would recommend going up a size if you plan on wearing even a light tee under it. It also is supposed to hit at the waist but I would say it hits at high waist. I had on the Ultra Light Scoop Neck tee under it and I had a good 1-1.5 inches of tee sticking out from under the sweater. The button came off on my sweater as soon as I opened it so I called for a replacement (again-LOVE that LLB guarantee-so easy to deal with-and so NICE!!!) and since they're sending another out I'm going a size up- I thinks it will just be a bit more roomy- I'm hoping it's not too much more! It IS fitted and I would say with a tee under it it's a little too snug! I was expecting a fit more like the Double L Cardigans; but I would discribe the fit as going one size down from what you wear in a Double L Cardigan. I deducted a star because of the sizing issue- it's difficult to know the first time what size to order.
The fit of the sweater was perfect; however I was not completly satisified with the color (I ordered the green). I felt the catalog showed a more vibrant shade of green. I would love to have this sweater in other colors, but am hesitant about ordering another color before seeing them in person. The pattern of the weaving is beautiful and classic. I loved that this sweater hits just at my hips. I have a mid-sized length torso and have had problems fitting in to all these long-length shirts/sweaters that are "so popular" these days. All in all, a good choice of purchase.
Cardigan is quite attractive ...a nice change from a plain knit...recommend wearing a similar colored top underneath....good fit....it dresses up an outfit for work
