The angora makes this very soft, knitted buttons are cute, looks nice with matching scoop neck "t". Would look best on someone who is thin on top with long neck, narrow or wide shoulders, thin arms, and flat/small chest.
I recommend ordering a size (or 2) up. I am 5.4, 135 lbs., with large bust and arms. Medium was way to tight, and my arms (11" at bicep) were stuffed in like a sausage. Also, the popcorn stitch is adorable, but makes chest look extra large. If you have flat/small chest then this sweater will help fill you out.
Just got the sweater and I am quite pleased. Being a somewhat height challenged person, I wear both petite sized items and regular sized items - just depends on the cut and style. I would say that I am a size 6 - 8 on top. Most of my purchases at LLBean are S or PM.
So, I was happy that the size Small regular worked for me. The overall length was great, sleeves were a just a little bit long (e.g. height challenged) but did not look too big.
The sweater is soft, not itchy or scratchy and will be a good staple for me. I am very picky on the itchy part! It is very loosely knitted - easily stretches. Loved the color (I bought the aqua).
