I had really looked forward to receiving this item but alas, it is a disappointment. Sizing runs both small and short- I prefer a shorter sweater, but proportionately, this was way too short. And if you are a busty XL, this will never fit you. I can see why there were some comments about shedding- it is furrier than others and it might be itchier overall. Back to the Double L cotton, much more predictable with some give to them and so many rich colors.
I'd tried on this sweater prior to purchasing it to check the fit. The medium fit well and looked nice. The one I ordered must be mis-marked because it is tiny; all the buttons gap and it is tight. I will return this sweater. Am very disappointed.
I bought this sweater in light blue in the winter of 2009-10. I have enjoyed it so I thought I'd order another in the berry color this winter. I ordered the same size but this year's sweater is much smaller than last year's. I compared the two sweaters and the new one is at least an inch narrower at the shoulder, an inch shorter in sleeve length and body length, and about 2 inches narrower in the body. The sleeves are also narrower and therefore seem itchy and tight. I love the berry color but it is going back. Even though both sweaters are marked medium, I wonder if the new sweater is sized wrong??????
