I like the look of this sweater though it does seem to be sized on the smaller size. It's a bit scratchy to me so it will have to be worn with something under it. I picked it because down here in the south it gets chilly but not so cold for heavy wool most of the year. This is an open weave sweater so it should be warm without being too hot.
I ordered this for fall. Although I like it and I am keeping it, I had two problems with it. First, I wanted the green that was shown in the catalog and that was not a choice online. There were a couple of extra color choices online that were not shown in the catalog. I ended up ordering the pomegranate color and it has a tad more orange in it than the picture represents. It is fitted and I like the weight.
I like this bulky sweater because it has a weave and is fitted at the waist. It has a wide bottom ribbing that sits about two inches below your belly button. I plan on wearing it over blouses and tees for warmth under my wool coats during our winter blasts. I often order ex small for a more fitted look, but this sweater was snug over my bust. I wish it came in shades of gray also. LL bean are you listening?
