I got these for kennel work - needed something waterproof and warm. I am happy with them - they are comfy and mostly cozy. They would be improved if the soles were thicker, however. The soles feel thin and put your feet a bit too close to the cold ground. If it is not too cold out, and you are moving around, they are great. The sheepskin in the legs is plush and feels wonderful. The calves are wide on me but OK with pants tucked in.
The boots were handsome and appeared well made, but I returned them. Following directions, I ordered a 7 (normal size 7 1/2). They were too tight with midweight socks. Also they seemed a bit stiff in the calf, though that might not be a problem when broken in. They have a small "LLBean" logo on the heel. I hate wearing clothes with the makers logo on display so that was another negative for me, though most people probably don't care.
ProsDurable, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, easy to get on and off, expensive but worth it
I wanted boots that were 1) waterproof; 2) comfortable; 3) good on ice and snow. I tried these out and have been very pleased. I chose a half-size down and it's fine--although not large enough that I could wear extra thick socks; for that I'd need to choose the next size up. I really am enjoying wearing them in cold wet conditions.
I bought this boot to have for a snow boot but I love how fashionable they look. They are amazingly comfortable and I love the warm shearling. They are a good snug fit but not sure I will wear socks with them which is not really necessary with the shearling. I also really wanted a zipper boot to make it quicker & easier to put on & off.
