ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, very warm, nice boot height for snow
After years of searching for a decent winter boot for my wife, I finally found the answer. These boots are incredible. Warm, roomy, totally functional and great-looking. She wasn't a big fan of lace-up boots, so these were perfect. The LL Bean rep on the phone found these for me. I got a pair of the Mountain Laurel Ski socks, and they were perfect with these boots, and were about as high as the boot. Great purchase.

I've been coveting these boots since last year, and let me tell you, they are totally worth it. I can't confirm durability, although I have every reason to expect them to last for years. They are extremely well made, and comfortable right out of the box. The shearling goes from top to toes, so you know your feet will stay warm in the snow. The width is a little snug at first, but I think that's because the shearling is so thick - I think they'll loosen up a bit as I wear them. I'm a half-size and got the next lowest size per the instructions, they are just right. I only wish I could wear them around the house! Good thing I have the Wicked Good slippers for that. :)
These boots are fabulous! I love the way they stay true to the LLBean Hunting Boot and have a stylish, modern twist to them. Love the fact that they are made in Maine (Would LOVE to encourage LLBean to make even MORE of their products with Maine hands!!) I wear a 7 or 7.5 and ordered down - perfect fit with light socks! The quality is GREAT. My teenager thought they looked like I should muck out the stalls in them but when I tucked a pair of corduroys into them and paired them up with my LLBean Down 850 Jacket she decided they were pretty cool!! ;)
I wanted to love these boots! I saved up for them,tried them on in the store this fall. Sadly the seam where the rubber meets the leather hit my ankle bone and caused a blister,even wearing a heavy sock. I have found this a problem before,especially with sneakers. I returned the boots with deep regret. They were soooo warm! And I had planned on them being a lifetime purchase.
