We came all the way down from Eustis because one of your people told us there was a sale going on. When we got there there was no sale. The boots I wanted to get for my friend were almost $200. but with no sale it put them out of reach. We were going to settle for a less expensive pair but they were very uncomfortable...high ridge inside, so we passed and drove all the way back here. I was able to put together some better finances and did buy them on line. I had a problem once before with a pair of boots that were supposed to be insulated but are not and couldn't get any help in you sending me the correct ones! I've been a LL Bean customer since 1968. That's a long time and back then you went out of your way to help some of us. Have a good Christmas and God bless us all. Bob

I have large-ish calves, and these boots fit me will, with jeans tucked into tall boot-socks. I, like others, would have preferred to have the calf width in inches provided in the product description.
I didn't call to ask L.L. Bean, so I'm not sure if they have this info available.
We are enjoying a bizarre 'Indian summer' and I have not yet warn these boots outside, but they certainly will be warm and breathable!
I was excited when I received my boots 2 weeks ago. After reading all the reviews before receiving my boots, I was afraid that the boots will not fit on my calves comfortably. To my surprise, the boots fit perfectly well. It was very comfortable and I was even able to tuck in my pants!!! I followed the advise to order down and I ordered size 7 since I wear size 7 1/2. Thank you Ll Bean.
