I was disappointed in this boot. I wear a size 7-1/2 and the instructions said that half- sizes should order a size DOWN. I did and its uncomfortable. Also it is a very heavy boot and the bottom of the side zipper rests right up against the inside of your ankle. I expected it to be more fitted or contured to the leg and much lighter to lift your foot. The fact that it was handmade and shearling lined were selling points for me, but don't outweigh the negatives.
These are the first boot of its type in recent memory to be completely waterproof. I usually wear a size 39 in Birkenstock and Dansko, which is an 8 to 81/2. Took a gamble on a size eight and they fit perfectly. My first reaction was to order a size 9, which was on B/O, so I tried the eight, glad I did. The size 9 would have been too big. Can't wait to hit my first puddle to try them out! Thanks LL Bean!
As expected from LLBean top quality! The fit is perfect, the lining is plush. Wore them in pouring rain and my feet were not only toasty but dry as a bone! Cant wait to try these out in the cold, snowy Vt winter. I highly recommend these boots for anyone who spends any time at all in wet, cold or snowy weather.
i just received my boots....i was concerned about the sizing....i normally wear a 8 1/2 or 9. i took the advise of the site and reviews and ordered a size down to an 8. the fit is perfect.....the boot is soooo warm highly recommend them.i have them to walk my newfoundland dog in the cold wet weather....they are perfect. for me ordering from canada the price with duty ect was $220...still well worth it
