This particular boot was the wrong size. We went to the mansfield store to try to get a replacement in a smaller size but all the size 8 boots had defects in the stitching where the upper and lower parts connect. Not worthy quality for an almost $200 boot.
I ordered these boots as soon as I saw them, long before winter, because they seem the perfect solution for wet or snowy weather. I ordered my usual size, and there is room for winter's woolen socks. There is also room to tuck in jeans, and they'll look fine with skirts as well -- not glamourous to be sure, but "stylish" in their own practical, eccentric way. Comfortable warm feet in winter are more important than glamour.
I am getting ready for a busy fall season with three girls in soccer, and seasons tickets to the New England Patriots. New England can get VERY cold during these months. So, I ordered these boots in hopes of getting a boot that will keep my feet warm. Well, I was MORE than pleasantly surprised. The shearling lining is very warm and lines the entire boot - even the foot! They are comfortable and rise up to below my knee. I plan to wear them with pants and skirts. I love how they have the classic L.L.Bean look, but have a bit of style because they are tall boots. Thank you for a great product! This will be my first New England winter where I look forward to cold weather!
