ProsDurable, Great Value, Comfortable, Performing as Expected, warmer than a blanket.
I am from Florida, and knew I would be traveling to a cold climate for the Christmas holidays. I saw the add on line for the Ultralight 850 Down Jacket and knew I needed something to stay warm. LL Bean promised the jacket to me before I traveled, and when I saw the size, I knew I could never fit this in my suitcase. How wrong I was. The jacket is everything they advertise and more. So light and folds up to the size of a pair of gloves. Warmth is a plus and now the jacket will become a part of me anytime I have to travel where it is cold. Thanks LL Bean, for being the perfectionists in all your products. You have a five star customer on your list.
Got this for X-mas. Love the light weight, great for keeping in pack while hiking! Had some minus 0 deg weather with 15 - 25 mile winds and the coat was warm with sweat shirt under it. Wind resistance was apparent after time in our winds.

I love this jacket. Very lighweight and thin. Very comfortable and flexible. Lots of pockets. I wear the 850 in tempatures below 60 degrees. I wear the 850 in tempatures below 40 degrees, and I wear the LL Bean Parka in tempatures below 30 degrees.
