This is so crazy lightweight, that when you first pull it out of the bag you’re thinking, “There’s just no way that this is going to do much”! But it is truly amazing! Thus far I have worn it on brisk and windy days in the low 40’s. It breaks the wind superbly and holds in all body heat. It really does fold up nicely in the self contained stowaway bag – this too is amazing! Would also work nicely as a mid-layer for very frigid temperatures.
This jacket is incredible. Comfortable, warm, light and extremely packable. In a world where less is more with regard to airline luggage, this is a perfect travel companion. You literally have to see it, hold it wear it and fold it to believe it. Not warm enough for an Antarctic winter, but just right fall, spring and many midwestern winter days.
