I love this jacket and have worn it every day since it arrived! While Montana can get pretty cold, this jacket has been perfect for our weather between 10-30 degrees. The fit and comfort is right on (a Large was just right for my normal size 14). I may just have to get the other color. Very lightweight for the warmth.
In a word: WOW! Let me just say, that if you have this wonderful jacket on, from the bottom hem up to your chin, is like in its own mini building! YOU WON"T feel one bit of the cold weather around you. I have this is the Garnet color, and was pleasantly surprised at what a beautiful color it is (not a blue-red), and the cozy lining in the pockets and around your neck is totally prefect. I was NOT disappointed in anything about this purchase...and it's wonderful to travel with, too!
I love how light and soft this jacket feels, and how amazingly warm it is. The things I don't love: the shiny fabric-- I would much prefer no shine; and the sizing-- I generally always wear a Medium in Bean products. The size M in this coat was too tight in the chest with a sweater underneath. I exchanged for a Large, and have to put up with sleeves a bit too long. Also, it would be nice if the cuffs were snugger. But, overall I'm happy to have a warm jacket that doesn't remind me of the heavy, bulky, movement-restrictive snowsuits of childhood.
I love this jacket it is so light weight it barely feels like you are wearing a warm winter jacket- it folds up so small it is great for traveling. I wore it in the pouring rain and the water didnt come thru the jacket, I stayed nice and dry. I wear mine everyday it is a little roomy which is great I can wear a sweatshirt or a thick sweater under mine.
