When this came in the mail, it was so lightweight that I thought it couldn't possibly keep me warm in below freezing temperatures. I was wrong. I wear this jacket riding my horse and in 25 degrees, with a wind chill in the teens, I was warm with an LLBean cotton turtleneck and wool sweater underneath. I am often cold when I ride so this has been a blessing. I agree with another reviewer that tighter cuffs on the sleeves would work better. This is easy to move in, which was another requirement for me. My regular size was the right fit with two layers underneath. The temperature ratings on this jacket are spot on!
I love it! It is super soft, very warm and a gorgeous color. I've worn it in below zero weather and stayed warm and often receive compliments on the style.
I love this jacket. I haven't had a down jacket in a long time, and this definitely isn't like down use to be. It is so light I don't feel weighted down, and it is warm as toast. I recently wore it with a light sweater in temperatures in the teens with the wind chill and was completely warm. My only suggestion is that you give a little more room in the elbows. I like the jacket so much that I bought another one for a Christmas gift.
I purchased this jacket to wear around town on cool days and using as a liner with an old shell I wear at work during cold days. It arrived just in time for temperatures in the teens. It is unbelievably light and warm. The fit is spot-on, fitted enough not to look like a walking marshmallow, but roomy enough to be able to wear a sweater. The pockets are also roomy and warm. If I have any complaint it would be the color selection. Bright pinks and greens just don't work for me. I bought the jacket in black.
